Well the cable values are read with an HP Counter through an HPIB port. Altough I have told Ed (Himwich) that the HPIB works with the new FS and the new kernel, it only works well if the FS is not running a schedule. If your are running a schedule the port reading fails many times, perhaps 80% of the times I try to read the port. And if it fails the PC hangs for 2 seconds.
